Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have called it quits and are no longer engaged.
This comes hours after EsB reported that the Canadian singer, Avril Lavigne was spotted getting cozy with American rapper, Tyga.
Sources close to the now-former couple reported that the two had tried to make things work recently, going ‘on and off’ over the last few months, but it just wasn’t right.
They’ve now called off their engagement and no longer together.
However, the split appears to come as a surprise to 35-year-old Mod Sun.
What led to the split is still unclear but it was gathered that there was no cheating on either side.
Avril and Mod got engaged last year in March during a trip to Paris. He recently released a new album titled ‘God Save the Teen’ with a handful of songs dedicated to Avril.
The pair were recently spotted together at an event for The Grammys, just a couple weeks before he left for a tour.
‘They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him,’ Mod Sun‘s rep confirmed.
Despite being seemingly blindsided, we’re told the ‘Karma’ singer, who is currently still on tour, has no plans of slowing down when it comes to work.
‘The show will happen tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of the tour,’ his rep adds.
