Dieunerst Collin, the kid who went viral for giving the side-eye at Popeyes is now a college football player.
Collin’s journey since his viral Vine video from 2013 has led him to Lake Erie College, where the 19-year-old offensive lineman recently wrapped up his redshirt freshman year.
On Sunday, Collin again went viral after Twitter users became aware of his whereabouts thanks to a tweet pointing out the potential for a dream collaboration with the fast food chain.
TMZ reported that Lake Erie College freshman offensive lineman, Dieunerst Collin, is the little kid in the yellow shirt who became internet famous on now-defunct social media platform Vine back in the day.
The 6’1″, 330-pounder went on to be a successful athlete since becoming a meme, and he won a state championship with East Orange Campus high school in New Jersey in 2021.
According to Collin’s bio on the team site, he’s currently studying sports management and comedian studies and hopes to become a sports analyst.
‘If this guy doesn’t have an NIL deal by tomorrow, the Louisiana kitchen needs to clean house on upper management,’ he tweeted on Sunday.
The overwhelming support eventually caught the attention of Collin, who unofficially kicked off his campaign for an NIL deal with a response aimed directly at Popeyes.
