Social media users pointed out that the dress in the video looked a lot like the gold Prabal Gurung number worn by Jennifer at The Hunger Games premiere in Los Angeles on March 12, 2012 – which she attended with Liam, her co-star in the film (as if they’d not turn up together!).
Explaining the breadcrumb, a video on TikTok claimed to be connecting the dots and walked viewers through the drama.
The viral clip was titled: ‘Tell us, Miley! Queen of Shade’ and showed side-by-side footage of the Flowers singer in the new song’s video and the actress on the red carpet.
One user penned underneath the post: ‘For her to duplicate the “gold dress” she has receipts!! [sic]’.
Another commented: ‘I feel like Jlaw shaded Miley so much during certain interviews with Liam too, would make sense [sic]’.
