Suspected ritualists remove 12-year-old boy’s eye in Bauchi

Bauchi State Police Command are presently hunting for two suspected ritualists that allegedly plucked a 12-year-old boy’s eye.

The victim, Almajiri boy was on his way to his to Quranic education centre in Kano state before he was lured to be kidnapped.

It was gathered that two men on bike accosted the boy and was tasked to help call out a lady in a nearby house.

However, when the alleged two suspects feel ‘safe’ – that no one is watching them, they carried the boy on the bike and drove to a bush to remove one of his two eyes.

This they do, leaving the boy in a pool of his blood until the boy managed to crawl out to where people can find him. He was found and rushed to the hospital – Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi (ATBUTH).

Reacting to this criminal act, the Commissioner of Police – Bauchi Command enjoined the villager to be vigilant and report any trace of crime and suspicion in their communities.

‘A discreet investigation commenced in earnest and we assured that the perpetrators of criminal acts would be apprehended soon,’ he said.
