The police have published CCTV footage of the dog’s owner who savagely attacked an 11-year-old student.
The girl was on her way to school in Tower Hamlets, London, when she encountered a guy strolling two dogs.
As she passed the animals, one of them pounced at her and viciously bit her on the hand and arm.
A passing cab driver rescued her by removing her from the dog’s grasp. The girl was brought to the hospital with possibly life-threatening injuries, including fractured bones.
Before police arrived, the dog owner fled the incident on Ben Jonson Road in Stepney Green.
The Metropolitan Police has published camera footage of the man and his two dogs on September 28, the day of the incident, in an effort to locate them.
Detective Inspector Luke Hampton says, ‘This was a horrible and prolonged assault on a young girl as she walked to school.’
‘Not only did the tragedy leave her with severe injuries, including fractured bones, but it also traumatized her.
‘We must immediately identify the owner of these dogs to prevent this from happening again.’
On Monday, the Metropolitan Police has released the video footage of the man and his two dogs on the day of the attack on September 28 in a renewed bid to track them down.
