According to Euromonitor International’s Top 100 City Destinations ranking, Paris is ranked first.
The city of love was ceded number one last year, it has thus maintained its first position for all that worths it.
The city rankings are based on economics, business, tourism, infrastructure, policy, attractiveness, health, safety and sustainability.
‘The good standing of European destinations in the Index is largely attributable to two important pillars – tourism policy and attractiveness and tourism infrastructure,’ Euromonitor stated.
Meanwhile, Dubai which is ranked second in the rankings did take the lead ahead of Paris in international arrivals by city, with over 12 million trips in 2022.
Euromonitor International believe that International tourism has had a positive bounce back following many COVID-19 restrictions being lifted in 2022, with consumers apparently eager to jumping back on the plane and seeing what the other side of the world looks like.
Though there is a major boost in tourism, regions are still reportedly looking for ways to improve infrastructure and sustainability and meet tourist demands, Euromonitor International stated.
