A New Jersey mother accused of shooting her husband dead on Christmas Day had been fighting with him before the murder, according to new court documents.
Marylue Wigglesworth, 51, has been arrested and charged with killing her husband, David, 57, at their May’s Landing home over the festive period.
An affidavit reveals that Wigglesworth called 911 at around 10.19pm on Sunday and told the dispatcher that she and her husband had been in a fight.
Officers arrived to find David suffering from a gunshot wound in the bedroom of the property, close to a handgun.

Marylene has confessed to shooting her husband and remains in custody at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The couple, who share one son, had been posting smiling photos of themselves to social media before the incident.
Neighbors described them as ‘happy and content’ – but a family member told DailyMail.com that they could ‘argue about anything.’
Marylue’s brother Francis Gallagher, 58, said Marylue and her politically-active spouse David were very ‘off and on’.
Despite running as a Republican in 2019 and supporting local GOP candidates, many of David’s recent posts have been in favor of socialism and supporting liberal ideals like defunding the police.
An autopsy has confirmed that David – who served as the president of the Hamilton Township Planning Board – died by homicide.
Wigglesworth will appear for a detention hearing on Wednesday.
