Harry And Meghan Have Become A ‘One-Trick Pony,’ Says Hollywood Bible Variety

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s explosive six-part documentary concluded last week. In the series, the couple were seen going against the Royal Family and the British press as they gave accounts of intrusion and neglect throughout.

Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, have been accused of “playing the victim card” in a new article, published on the VIP section of Variety’s website, as it stated that the couple have “gone to the well one too many times with their tale of mistreatment”.

President of Variety Intelligence Platform and author of the piece Andrew Wallenstein asked “how much more meat could possibly be left on this bone”, in relation to the Sussexes’ story, and added that skepticism is “warranted” after their documentary.

The article, titled ‘It’s well Past Time for Harry and Megan 2.0’, branded the Duke and Duchess’ Netflix series repetitive and said that the pair are in danger of giving out a “tone-deaf message” that will eventually “tire” even their “dimmest of fans”.

Mr Wallenstein wrote: “There can only be so many revelations left to share with the public now that the couple have exiled themselves away from their fractious coexistence with the monarchy.

“Given that they’ve beaten this horse to death, perhaps this one-trick pony is due for the glue factory.”

He added: “Their game plan has always been, come for the sob story, stay for the high-minded uplift.

“But that’s a shaky strategy for keeping an audience around that probably doesn’t care about anything either of them has to say that isn’t royal gossip.”

Mr Wallenstein questioned what could possibly be left to say as Harry gears up to release his book Spare, on January 10.

According to publisher Penguin Random House, the memoir will include “raw, unflinching honesty” and will be “full of revelation”, as has been the Duke’s approach these past two years.
