In an outpouring of love, the four-year-old girl is inundated with gifts and cards from around the world as her family prepares to celebrate what could be her last birthday.

Four-year-old Delany Krings, from Pewaukee, Wisconsin, was diagnosed with brain cancer on October 31 and given six to eight weeks to live.

Today, December 16 is her birthday and knowing that this could be her last, people all over the world are coming together to celebrate her by sending her hundreds of cards and gifts.

Despite the sad news, the parents have also made up their mind to celebrate the daughter in a grandest way possible by making today special for her.

A family friend, Sharon Tomlinson, learning about the diagnosis suggested they organize a card drive to celebrate what may be the last time they will be able to sing happy birthday to her.

Sharon took up the task to spread the news to social media, local news outlets and her office even volunteered to collect the letters.

In addition to birthday cards and gifts, Delany’s mother, Heather has revealed the town was organizing a parade to celebrate her daughter.

‘There is going to be a horse and carriage, first responders, some local dance teams and dog groups,’ Heather said, adding that Delany will be able to indulge in her favorite sweets treats like hot cocoa and cake.

Although the little angel only has enough energy to read about four or five of the cards herself, but her parents make sure to read the others to her – especially the cards that play music, which make her light up and put her in a lively and merry mood.

‘It’s a little overwhelming. She’s got so much love pouring in,’ her mother said.

‘There’s no way that we would be able to put her through opening thousands of cards per day.

‘We pick out a handful and open them for her. Cards that play music are a favorite.’

More than birthday cards, Delaney’s mom revealed her daughter has received gifts from Amazon and homemade items like blankets, bracelets, and ornaments.

‘Happy (early) 5th Birthday Delaney!’ Watt tweeted, alongside a photo of him holding a card that read, ‘From Arizona back home to Pewaukee, I hope you have a fantastic birthday surrounded by family and friends!’

Delany who has only spent eight days out of the hospital since her diagnosis is famous for lighting up a room with her glowing smile and the community is doing everything they can to ensure the little girl who always puts a smile on your face has the best day ever.

Unfortunately, Christmas Day will mark eight weeks since the four-year-old’s diagnosis of a ‘inoperable brain tumor’.
