Iyanna went before a judge on Oct. 17, where she plead guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the incident back in April 2020.
Court documents state Iyanna stabbed a woman several times in the arm after a fight.
Iyanna Mayweather will now serve six years of deferred adjudication after pleading guilty to the 2020 stabbing of another woman in Cypress through a deferred adjudication.
‘A deferred adjudication is a special form of judge-ordered probation that allows Iyanna to accept responsibility for a crime without an actual conviction placed on record.’
Provided she stays out of trouble, Iyanna could have the arrest expunged from her record within two years.
Iyanna is guided under the court rules that say: she cannot commit any offenses, cannot use or possess any illegal drug or prescription drugs that are not currently prescribed by a medical professional, report to supervising officer and work a suitable employment and/or attend school full-time.
Also, she will remain within Harris County or any counties directly touching Harris County, and cannot travel outside the location unless given permission.
Iyanna claimed to be defending herself in April of 2020, when she allegedly grabbed a pair of knives and charged at Lapattra Lashai Jacobs in YoungBoy’s kitchen.
Fraca ensued when Iyanna was upset after arriving at YoungBoy’s home to find Jacobs.
After telling Jacobs that she was the rapper’s fiancée, the argument turned physical. According to Iyanna, Jacobs had pulled her hair at one point, prior to the stabbing.
‘Schaffer said of his client’s guilty plea, ‘Although we believe that Iyanna was defending herself after being attacked, we thought this was the safest resolution for her,’
‘This is especially true since her boyfriend and his bodyguards refused to testify; probably due to their own legal problems.’
