The Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be stripped of their titles while Harry should be dropped from the succession line after his Netflix documentary, a survey by The Mail on Sunday has concluded.
The survey found that 44 percent of people think they should lose their titles, while only 19 percent disagree.
A similar proportion, 42 percent, think Harry should be dropped from the line of succession, with 23 percent disagreeing.
Almost a third, 28 percent, think they should not be allowed to attend King Carlos III’s coronation, with 31 percent disagreeing.
Forty-two percent of people think Prince Harry should now be dropped from the line of succession. He is currently fifth in line to the throne.
There have been calls for King Charles to remove the titles from the Sussexes after the controversial release of the documentary.
The survey, conducted by #findoutnow, also shows the wide divergence of views on different age groups.
While more than half of those over 65, 51 percent, think the Sussexes should lose their titles, only 16 percent of those aged 25-34 think they should.
Four in 10 voters who watched the TV series said it made them more sympathetic to Harry and Meghan, while 26 percent felt less sympathetic.
A separate Deltapoll poll also challenges the couple’s view that they have been treated unfairly by the media.
A total of 51 percent think they have been treated fairly, while 31 percent think they have been treated unfairly.
Newly released images show the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their wedding in 2018. The first release of the Netflix drama has been panned by critics, receiving just a 15 percent audience score on the review site Rotten Tomatoes.
