Experts claimed today that the Prince and Princess of Wales’ trip to the US this week will help ‘correct the balance’ for the royal family in the wake of Harry and Meghan’s trans-Atlantic photos and tiara inaccuracies.
William and Kate will fly to Boston on Wednesday to begin a three-day trip to the US, the highlight of which will be Friday’s glitzy Earthshot Awards event, which an insider described as Prince’s Super Bowl moment.
Experts said it was extremely significant that the couple’s first overseas trip since the Queen’s death was to America. They have no plans to see Harry and Meghan though, as they head to the US East Coast next week.
Historian and biographer Amanda Lucy Foreman said Wells’ visit to the US was “a royal stroke of sorts” for the Sussex.

She dubbed William and Kate “Windsor workers,” and Meghan and Harry “Windsor workers,” and claimed Harry’s older brother and wife were landing in the US just like Working Windsor exhaust their welcome.
Royal commentator and biographer Phil Dampier said: ‘I’m sure they don’t see it as a competition trip to Harry and Meghan, but there’s no way it’s going to be shot.
“The point is, the William Earthshot Prize is an important award that recognizes practical solutions to climate change and he cares deeply about trying to make a difference.”
The Netflix series The Crown has also revived some of the House of Windsor’s most turbulent times just as the royal family tries to show that they are still relevant in modern, multicultural Britain after the Queen’s death.
“You could say that the royal family, particularly as far as America is concerned, has been going through some bumpy roads lately,” said Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine.
They came in with massive amounts of criticism on the back of The Crown as well as the Oprah Winfrey interview, which didn’t reflect particularly well on the House of Windsor, so I think it’s a good opportunity while they’re in the States. …to sort of fix the balance if that’s possible.”
