It has been confirmed over time that nose as a body organ spells difference in facial image between a white and a black. Chris Longford stated.
It is most likely has to do with climate and humidity.
Humans adapted to the conditions of their environment and when you look at the facial features of people from very cold areas and people from very hot areas, it becomes a bit obvious that climate is the reason for many of the features we see.
Where it’s sunny and hot we see darker skin, hair and eyes and where it’s cold these same features tend to be lighter.
We also see longer or more narrow noses where it’s generally more dry, cold and dark, and wider, shorter ones where it’s very hot and humid.
Men have larger noses than women on average so it could also have to do with physical requirements and the need for more oxygen.
Men have more muscle than women, and black people have a lower body fat percentage and higher lean muscle mass than white people (on average) which requires more oxygen.
Nose shapes and sizes vary based on a number of factors but I would think climate is most obvious but physical requirements for working, fighting, running, and the likes would be a factor also and possibly the most significant one.
Environments near jungles with many types of large, dangerous and very fast wild animals may have created “sprinter” noses that widened to take in more oxygen.
