Rumeysa Gelgi, who stands at 7ft 0.7inches (215.16cm) breaks her own record. She flies on airplane for the first time ever, not even as a child.

Earlier this year, Guinness World Records officially named the 24-year-old woman the tallest woman alive.

Gelgi has a condition called Weaver syndrome.

She suffers Weaver syndrome which typically caused her to go around in a wheelchair or with the aid of a walker, which among other things, causes her accelerated growth.

In no little thanks to Turkish airlines, which tore out six seats aboard one of its aircraft and replaced them with a specially-made stretcher to allow her to fly in comfort.

The airline aided her flight to San Francisco in September.

Having landed in California, she posted on Instagram:

“A flawless journey from start to finish… this was my first plane ride but it certainly won’t be my last… heartfelt thank you to each and every person who has been a part of my journey.”

Rumeysa Gelgi is a software developer.
