Three Americans celebrating 'Day of the Dead' in Mexico found lifeless in an apartment

The bodies of three Americans who were on a trip to celebrate the day of the dead in Mexico have been found dead in a Airbnb.

The deceased were Kandace Florence of Virginia Beach, Virginia, aged 28, was staying with her friend from High school Jordan Marshall, also from Virginia Beach and aged 28 and with them, Marshall’s friend Courtez Hall.

The deceased victims were suspected to have died from carbon monoxide poisoning. They had been in the city for the Dia de los Muertos, also known as the Day of the dead, a celebration that is usually held on the first and second day of November in honour of the dead.

Before the tragic incident, Florence has reportedly told her boyfriend over the phone, that she was not feeling well. At some point, the call ended, and her boyfriend was unable to reach her once again. He then proceeded to call Airbnb host and requested them to check up on the group.

The group were then found dead. The cause of death is unknown, but investigations are underway. While investigations are ongoing, the Airbnb has reportedly canceled coming reservations and has suspended the present listings.
