Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will receive the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights award for their fight against racial injustice, but the announcement has fueled the couple’s greatest critics and even a member of the Kennedy family.

The philanthropic work that Harry and Meghan do through the Archewell Foundation isn’t unnoticed and Kerry Kennedy, the president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights has previously mentioned that the couple has always stood out for their willingness to speak up and change the narrative on racial justice and mental health all over the world.

“They embody the type of moral courage that my father once called the ‘one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change”, was expressed by Kennedy in a statement this past October.

Other people that will be honored during the Ripple of Hope Award Gala in New York City include Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky and a posthumous award to NBA great Bill Russell for his work on civil rights throughout his life.

Meanwhile, Robert Kennedy Jr., the son of Robert F. Kennedy has mentioned in the past that he opposes the move but still considers it a far better choice than the one they took in 2020 when they awarded Dr. Anthony Fauci the honor.

“It’s a bewildering choice but still an encouraging step up from 2020,” Kennedy’s son mentioned to the Daily Mail.

Robert Kennedy Jr. has been suspended from Instagram for quite a while now over his views on the coronavirus vaccine, to which he spoke against the move.
