King George VI was the father to the late Queen Elizabeth II, and grandfather to now King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. Before the time of his death, Queen Elizabeth was already married to Prince Phillip. While George VI met King Charles and Princess Anne, he did not meet his remaining grandchildren.
King George VI died in 1952. At this time, King Charles and Princess Anne had already been born. King Charles was born in the year 1948, and Princess Anne was born in the year 1950.
King George VI may have been a grandfather to just King Charles and Princess Anne, but from all indications, he was a loving a doting grandfather. There have been pictures scattered all over the internet of him and his grandchildren Charles and Anne.
He may have been the King of England at the time, but he was shown to be concerned with the upbringing of his two grandchildren at that time. He would die before Prince Andrew and Prince Edward was born.
Sadly, King George VI was only able to witness the young lives of his grandchildren from then Princess Elizabeth. He did not meet any of his grandchildren from Princess Margaret, as she was unmarried before he passed.
George VI spent quality time with his children and grandchildren, as they were often left in the care of their grandparents whenever their parents Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip had to travel without them.
