An artist chosen by the Princess of Wales described an invitation to her Christmas Carol concert as “a tremendous honor and privilege” to be part of the event.
Kate Middleton will host the event, which will pay tribute to the late Queen, on Thursday 15 December at Westminster Abbey, before it is broadcast on ITV on Christmas Eve.
King announced the news on Twitter by sharing a video of London’s O’Reilly Poudre Palmer painting a snowy scene in the church, complete with trees decorated with fairy lights and a number of Corgi dogs outside.
Aurelie shared a screenshot of the final photo on her Instagram page, writing: “I have just had the great honor and privilege of illustrating the call to the Westminster Abbey Christmas Carol Service on behalf of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The artist, who was born in France and now lives in London, posted on Instagram an ‘unbelievable honor’ to be part of the event
It is an incredible honor to be a part of this event in this way and I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity.
“I am so excited to see the final video and I thank all the team that helped bring this together. Put Thursday 15 December in your diary! It will also be available to watch on ITV on Christmas Eve.”
It is not known how the Princess of Wales found the painter, who is originally from France but now lives in London.
Aurelie shared a screenshot of the final photo on her Instagram page and said she was “beaming with joy”
She has previously produced illustrations for the Four Seasons group of hotels, as well as selling her own cards and notes on the online Etsy marketplace.
Kate and Prince William shared the video on their official Kensington Royal social media accounts on Friday night, writing: “Date for your diary in December!
“And you can join us for this very special service Carol on ITV on Christmas Eve.”
