A woman has just shared pictures of her battered face after being beaten and raped by a man that was just recently released from police custody. The woman, Marissa Young was taking her dog for a walk around 1am on the 31st of July in Torrance California when she was approached by a stranger from behind.
According to her, the stranger leaped on her, tackling her to the ground and then proceeded to rape her and beat her with his fists. She explained the situation saying, ”I was tackled from behind, I heard nothing. I did not have my headphones in, and I was not looking at my phone. I was just walking straightforward to my destination.
Marissa had to undergo 5 surgeries to her face since the attack, as she suffered a broken nose, broken jaw and an affected eye socket. She sustained these injuries because the perpertrator punched her in the face with a close fist for about 15 – 20 times. Marissa states that her nose is broken in about four different places and her cheek bone was shattered during the assault.
The suspect has been tracked down and identified as Darrell Waters, a 46 years old man that was arrested by the police 36 hours earlier for the possession of an illegal dagger. He has been arrested for the assault on Marissa, and he has been charged with forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and forcible sexual penetration.
