It is obvious that everyone in the royal family is still upset at how things turned out between Prince Harry and his family. Even King Charles himself may have distanced himself from his youngest son as a result of the publicity generated out his interview with Meghan.
Although he has expressed his love and support for his son Prince Harry and his family, it is still possible that he feels betrayed by his son’s actions. Like most families would, the British Royal family may be willing to accept the Sussexes at face value and show their love and support for him and his decision to move away from home, but he would still have to face the repercussions of his actions.
To the public eye, it may seem as though the royal family have turned their backs on Prince Harry and left him to survive on his own. But we must all remember and understand that all this was Harry and Meghan’s choice, and the royal family is simply following their steps.
Let’s face it. The Sussexes made a decision to leave home, family, station and their royal duties to begin life anew in another continent entirely. They must understand that such decisions come with its own risks and reaction, with the most obvious one being that they will be cut off from major things in the royal family including finances.
So while we may only begin to see now how the royal family, especially King Charles seem to be treating Prince Harry, we must also understand that it is merely protocol, and although he may have to be stern with decisions concerning Prince Harry and Meghan, he will always love him like a father would.
