When we talk about Holywood Royalty, the list would be incomplete without Jodie Foster’s name in it. Although she may not be easily identified in current hollywood movies, people who remember the blockbuster movies of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s will definitely now and name a few of her movies.
Jodie Foster started acting at a young age, and is known for being a child prodigy in the Hollywood movie industry. With several movies under her belt, most of these movies have become award-winning movies, with some of the popular ones being Silence of the Lambs, The Accused, etc.
Although it can be hard to keep track of all her roles, some have managed to stick out as traumatic and disturbing for viewers and also Jodie herself. As a gifted and talented actress, Jodie has played several roles, some fictitious and some inspired by true events. While we love her movies, here are some movies and movie scenes we believe may have been disturbing for viewers as they must have been for Jodie herself.
One of the movies scenes which Jodie starred in that was disturbing is Taxi driver. Here she played the role of a 12 year old prostitute, who at the concluding part of the movie, had to witness a taxi driver murder her pimp and others in cold blood. The scene was cringey for viewers and we can only imagine what it must have felt like for Jodie.
Another disturbing scene of Jodie is from the movie The Accused, a movie based on true events of a woman gang raped by three men while onlookers cheered. The scene was bad enough to watch and for Jodie, just as disturbing as she stated she did not prepare for that role. This was attributed to the fact that she felt being prepared would take away the sincerity of the emotions involved in the movie.
Finally, a scene from a movie we all know too well is one where Jodie plays a rookie/student FBI agent who is sent to interview Hannibal Lector, and ends up being influenced by him and sharing personal information with him in exchange for information on how to capture an active serial killer. Her role in this movie Silence of the lambs placed her as one of the 100 greatest movie characters.
