If Putin decides to launch some sort of nuclear weapon directly at London – let’s hope that it’s not a country-destroying weapon; something that will cause immense death and destruction, but something from which we could substantially survive as a nation.
Then London in return will definitely reply nukes with nukes and direct one towards Russia capital city, St. Petersburg. The world awaits gory scenes by so doing!
It is Putin here – the man who has stated on the record that he would rather execute every last person on earth than contemplate a world in which there was no Russia. He’s a man who would stare Mutually Assured Destruction in the face, and would press the button that destroyed world with his own hand.
Knowing well that he is nut enough to start a war with a friendly nation without provocation. The only way to win a nuclear war is to not have one. With nuclear warfare, pretty much any kind of escalation will conclude with the end of the world, or close to it. The UK nukes Moscow. That is why the MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) scenario works.
It’s not a comfortable solution but so far anyway it has worked. Those old enough will remember the US – Russia conflict over missiles in Cuba some years ago where war was averted due to the MAD scenario.
It wasn’t the EU that prevented war in Europe for the past 70 years as they like to claim, it was much more likely the MAD threat. Anyway there was a war, but fortunately not with nuclear armed countries. Just let’s hope that Putin won’t have enough reasons to nuke London in the first place.
