Since the death of the Queen and subsequent ascension of Prince Charles to King, everyone has been expecting the change of titles for Archie and Lilibet to be updated on the royal family website, especially as the titles of the Cambridge children and others have been updated on the site.
According to a new rule that was established by King George V in 1917, Archie and Lilibet are entitled to be addressed as His and Her Royal highness respectively, and informally as Prince and Princess. This law stated that all children and grandchildren of a ruling monarch should have the title. However, the delay in Archie and Lilibet’s titles have a lot of people wondering.
Could King Charles be delaying the titles of the Sussex children on purpose because of Prince Harry and Meghan’s actions. Is there another reason why Archie and Lilibet do not have their titles yet? While we can only speculate while we wait for the titles to be bestowed and statuses recognized, there does not seem to be any other reason for the delay.
Although King Charles has confirmed and shown his love for Prince Harry and his other children and grandchildren, there is no proof that he does not wish to deny his grandchildren’s title. Reports have shown that their titles are being held back until the mourning period of the Queen is over.
As much as we, the general public are waiting on the update, reports have shown that Prince Harry and Meghan are besides themselves with worry, and are most likely upset at the delay in confirmation and update of their little precious ones.
