She tells the world she’s “done” with acting now — quickly adding, of course, “Never say never” — but don’t believe it. Meghan is about to play her best role ever – and her fans seem to be enjoying it. Given that her previous claim to acting fame was a leggy role on a low-profile American legal soap opera, the bar was pretty low from the start.

Life is short and we only have this moment, she reveals — but that shouldn’t stop us from emancipating all women and destroying the “archetypes” (I think she means clichés) that are holding us girls back. She claims that love is all that matters: “love for a partner, love for yourself, love for community and family.”
At this point, I admit that I choked. Family! This is from a woman who hasn’t seen her own father in years: this now frail but still loving father who financed her expensive education and never met her children or her husband.
All of Meghan’s own half-siblings have apparently been sent to Siberia – and Harry has become virtually estranged from his own family since meeting them. By the way, note that “self-love” comes before “family love” … Self-love is what matters most to Meghan, I suppose.
Well, as the Queen herself once famously said, “Memories can vary in this regard”. But Meghan brilliantly sold the narrative to her millions of followers that she and the late Queen were close. And which royal would now dare to contradict her publicly?
