People who have kept up with the British monarchy know that the royal family is always a good trend topic with one drama or the other about one member.
With the recent death and funeral of Queen Elizabeth, former Prince Charles has become the ruling monarch, and shall be addressed henceforth as King Charles. This means his wife Camilla has become Queen consort.
What several people may not know however, is that Camilla and Princess Anne, the late Queen’s only daughter and King Charles’s sister were once familiars. The marriage of King Charles and Camilla was not only popular because of the late Princess Diana, but because of her relationship with Princess Anne.
It appears that Camilla had always been around the royalty from her early years, and had known Princess Anne way before she met King Charles.
In fact, she met King Charles through his sister, Anne, however it was not exactly in a good way. The entire story did not just include Princess Anne, Camilla, or King Charles, but also included Andrew Parker Bowles, Camilla’s ex-husband.
It might interest you to note that Princess Anne and Andrew Parker Bowles used to be a couple, but the union was not allowed as Andrew was catholic. Long story short, Andrew met and married Camilla, but still remained close and fond of his former lover, Princess Anne.
This may have made Camilla feel some type of way as she then met King Charles and the rest is history. After her marriage to King Charles, Princess Anne was not exactly welcoming to her, and she was not the only one who felt that way about Camilla.
Over the years, the relationship between Princess Anne and Camilla had remained strained, as Princess Anne did not hide the fact that she was not fully in support of the union between her and her brother. Nonetheless, there was little to be done about it as King Charles has made it clear he wants to be with Camilla.
Fortunately, things seem to have improved between the two women, as recent pictures and videos have shown them being pleasant to each other and even laughing together at some point. We hope this new relationship is for the better as both have a common goal, which is to see to the success of the reign of the new monarch, King Charles.
