A doctor based in the United States has just recounted how metals on a lady’s wig interfered with MRI scan. The doctor stated that she had to come to the rescue of the lady after some of her colleagues had issues performing an MRI scan on a lady that came to the hospital with stroke-like symptoms.
The doctor explained this on her twitter page, as she described the situation and how fellow doctors and nurses were panicking as to why they could not perform a scan. The reason for the problems was the presence of metals on the semi-permanent wig that had been glued to the lady’s head.

The doctor, Dr. Madden said her little knowledge and experience with applying alcohol on metals helped her to remove the wig to the relief of other doctors and nurses. After the wig was successfully removed by the doctor, the lady ended up getting the scan that she required.
While some people replied to her posts by saying the doctors could have known how to remove an installed wig, the doctor further explained that the wig had been laid down so well that it took a great deal of patience as well as alcohol to get it removed. She also stated that if it was not for her experience with that particular type of hairstyle, she may have found herself in the same position as the other doctors.
