It is no news that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan stepped down from their duties and status as working royals, and moved to California to begin life anew. It is common knowledge that Prince Harry took this bold step because of his wife’s comfort in the royal family, sadly, the other members of the royal family especially Prince William may not have reacted too well to the situation.
Since 2020 when Prince Harry and Meghan moved out to California, they have kept their distance in some way, staying away from official trips to London mostly. However, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee saw to the return of the royals for the celebration.
Several people believe that the arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan was taken warily by most senior members of the Royal family, as they were worried Harry and Meghan would bring publicity with them. Even more, was the speculation that the Platinum Jubilee celebrations were a ‘stunt’ on the part of Prince Harry and Meghan to steal the spotlight and bring more attention to themselves.
The question on everyone’s minds and lips is this, Is Prince Harry and Meghan truly there to celebrate the Queen, or are they there simply to prove a point and make everyone know just how well they are doing without being part of the royal family anymore? Whatever the case, we may never know.
Nonetheless, members of the Royal family are excited and happy about the visit of Prince Harry and Meghan and their presence in the celebrations. Sadly though, the duo were excluded from the balcony during pictures as they were no longer working royals.
Despite all of this, it would be a great opportunity for Prince Harry and Prince William to try to mend the rift that exists between them of late. Like most others, however, Prince Harry and Meghan are just there to celebrate the Queen, spend time with family and have a good time.
