A baffling story suggested that the Top Gun star expressed his desire to date the Maleficent actress and included the words “indecent proposal” in its heading. The Hollywood A-lister appears to be looking at a “dating opportunity” with Angie.
The outlet quoted a so-called friend who said that Cruise is in pursuit of his fourth bride. However, Angie does not seem to be interested in the proposal and refused the actor’s offer politely. The actress, reportedly, said that she is currently focusing on her six children while declining his offer.
The same unnamed friend said that Cruise is hurt because he feels Jolie is his type of woman. The actor also felt that he made an excellent offer.
Is the report sounding somewhat similar to the plot of the 1993 Hollywood blockbuster film Indecent Proposal? Robert Redford played the part of the affluent bachelor but it seems Cruise was offered the role and had declined the role earlier, Cinema Blend reports. However, that does not mean the Mission Impossible star would be sending proposals to film stars today.
While Moore required Redford’s bucks in the film, it is hardly the same case with Jolie. After all, Angelina Jolie is an affluent star in her own right. Thus, the premise does not seem to make much of a sense in this case.
