Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has
thrown down the gauntlet to Usain Bolt by challenging the world’s fastest man
to a race!
The multiple Olympic and world
champion and world 100m record holder is due to train with Borussia
Dortmund, but the Black-and-Yellows striker is lying in wait to test the
Jamaican superstar’s mettle.
“I’m waiting for you
man,” Aubameyang told CNN in a message shown to a smiling Bolt. “I
hope to see you one day, and let’s do this challenge!”
The Gabonese international is
no slouch and clocked a time of 3.7 seconds over 30m in 2013 – faster than
Bolt, who set his 100m world record of 9.58 seconds in Hertha Berlin’s
Olympiastadion in 2009.
However Bolt looked unfazed by
Aubameyang’s challenge, and responded by saying, “People are always trying
to call me out. He knows I’m going to win.”
