Kate Middleton looked very
friendly with Martina Hingis yesterday, as she attended the women’s final at
Wimbledon.
The 40-year-old Duchess
couldn’t contain her emotion during yesterday’s exciting match as she watched
Russian-born Elena Rybakina defeat Tunisian third seed Ons Jabeur.
She seemed equally excited to
greet former Wimbledon champion Martina Hingis, 41, beaming as the pair
gathered in the Royal Box.
It is unknown if the two women
have met before or are friends, but it is believed that they share a mutual
friend in Roger Federer.

of the women’s final
While it’s not known if the
women are friends, or if they’ve met before, they appeared to be sharing a
friendly conversation prior to the tennis action.
Kate is the patroness of the
Lawn Tennis Association and a fixture at Wimbledon.
Swiss player Martina, who won
the Wimbledon Women’s Singles in 1997, is about the same age as Kate.
And the women certainly seemed
happy to see each other, with photos showing them smiling broadly as they hung
out at the event, joining other stars including Tom Cruise and Ellie Goulding
at the Royal Box.
For her appearance – her
second at Wimbledon 2022 after watching Cameron Norrie on Tuesday – the Duchess
wore a vibrant yellow custom Roksanda dress, first worn on her tour of the
Caribbean earlier this year.
The tailored piece, featuring
a wrap top and billowing skirt, appears to be inspired by the designer label’s
£1,095 Brigitte midi dress in marigold. Kate’s is designed with short sleeves,
but a sleeveless version is also available.
