Prince Louis Takes After Uncle Prince Harry With Cheeky Trooping The Colour Antics

Prince Louis stole the
show during Thursday’s Trooping the Colour Platinum Jubilee celebrations
– and in doing so revealed a very real bond he shares with his cheeky
uncle Prince Harry.

Prince William and Kate
Middleton’s adorable four-year-old son made himself impossible
to miss, delighting royal watchers with an array of expressive and very
funny faces as the spotlight shone on him during his big balcony moment.

And although Prince Harry
wasn’t on the balcony to share the spotlight – being no longer an official and
active representative of the family – fans couldn’t help but think of
him, casting their mind back to the years he too thrilled onlookers with funny
faces when he was little Louis’ age.

In this sweet photo from 1988,
cheeky harry, coordinating green outfits with his mother, Princess Diana,
stuck his tongue out during the balcony celebrations, and made front-page news
across the world.

This year, as the Queen
celebrated 70 years on the throne, there was no doubt that Louis had gained a
legion of fans as he appeared on the famed Buckingham Palace balcony next
to his family, hilariously covering his ears as an aircraft soared
overhead, prompting his mother to have a little word with him.

He delighted fans even
further with his outfit, a naval-style sailor suit which many believed was
the exact same suit his father, Prince William, wore to Trooping
the Colour in 1985. Prince William would have been three years old at
the time, so it does seem likely his son would fit perfectly into his former
suit.

Though the Jubilee
celebrations have been full of joy and fun, they haven’t been without
their fair share of unexpected changes.

In a statement released by
Buckingham Palace on Thursday night, it was revealed that the
Queen will be unable to attend Friday’s Jubilee celebrations. It stated that while
Her Majesty “greatly enjoyed” her first day and the flypast in
London, she did “experience some discomfort,” due to which she will
be pulling out of Friday’s national thanksgiving service.
