Senior royals kept Prince
Harry and Meghan Markle at arm’s length during the Platinum Jubilee
celebrations, with a source revealing the couple spent just 15 minutes with
Queen Elizabeth II.
Harry and Meghan traveled to
the UK with their three-year-old son Archie and one-year-old daughter Lilibet
ahead of the four-day event from June 2 to June 5.
The trip marked the first time
the Queen met her great-granddaughter Lilibet, who was named after her
childhood nickname.
But the family-of-four only
spent a short 15 minutes with Her Majesty when they came together at Windsor
Castle following the Trooping the Colour on Thursday.
“It was a quick in-and-out job.
It was all quite formal,” a source told The Sun.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
went back to the US as the celebrations drew to a close last Sunday and missed
the Platinum Jubilee Pageant while in transit.
Their attendance at the
Jubilee marked their first public appearance in the UK since stepping back from
royal duties in 2020.
