The 40-year-old shared new
photos of herself helping out in an armored vehicle on a trip to the Pirbright
Training Academy, where she met new recruits last November.
The photos evoke memories of
the late princess as they bear a terrifying resemblance to the one wearing a
helmet while driving a tank while visiting the Royal Hampshire Regiment at
Tidworth in 1998.
The photos come amid
speculation that the Duchess may soon take on an honorary military role, which,
if that happens, would also reflect Diana, who was given the 13th/18th
Colonel-in-Law of the Royal Hussars a year after Tidworth’s visit. -Chief was

Kate used the Instagram
account she shares with Prince William To write a personal message
marking the occasion.
In a heartfelt message, she
wrote: ‘Today on Armed Forces Day, William and I pay tribute to the brave men
and women who have served, past and present, in all our armed forces, at sea,
on land and in want to dedicate. Air, here in the UK and around the world.

‘Thank you for the sacrifices
you and your families make to keep us safe.’
She said: ‘Last year, I was
honored to spend time with @BritishArmy to see how they train serving personnel
and new recruits.
‘It was wonderful to see
firsthand the many important and diverse roles played by the military on a
day-to-day basis to protect us all, and I look forward to discovering more
about @RoyalNavy and @RoyalAirForceUK in due course.’
He signed with ‘C’ to show that
he had posted the message in person.
The duchess, who celebrated
her husband’s 40th birthday earlier this week, sported a cheeky grin while
wearing a helmet in one photo, and meeting trainee soldiers in another.
Now that she has visited the
Army, there are plans for Kate – a military wife when Prince William was a
search-and-rescue pilot in North Wales – to spend time with those serving with
the Royal Navy and the RAF.
Armed Forces Day is celebrated
every year on the last Saturday of June in memory of men and women who have
previously served or are currently serving in the British Armed Forces.
Kate once again proved she
loves to get in on the action earlier this week as she had a kick about and
sipped a beer during a visit to Cambridge with Prince William.
