Nollywood Actress: ‘Thank God Nigeria Didn’t Qualify For The World Cup 2022, It’d Have Been Distraction’

Nollywood actress and DG of
ROK Studios, Mary Remmy Njoku, has reacted to the disqualification of the Super
Eagles of Nigeria from the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Reacting, Njoku, in a post via
her Instagram account, said there are problems in Nigeria that need fixing,
calling on the citizens to focus on them and put pressure on the federal government
to do something.

Citing the recent attacks on a
train and the airport in Kaduna, Njoku bemoaned the alarming insecurity in
Nigeria.

She thanked God that Nigeria
didn’t qualify for the World Cup, adding that it would have been a distraction.

She said: “Thank God we didn’t
qualify for the world cup. It would have been a distraction. We need to focus
on the real problems in Nigeria and pressure the Govt. to do something.

“An attack on a train! An
attack at the airport. The insecurity in Nigeria is alarming. No more
unnecessary distractions!!! This needs everyone’s attention.”
