Which Actor Had a Hard and Suffering Life?

Keanu Reeves was abandoned by his father at
age 3 and grew up with 3 different stepfathers.

He’s dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey
player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His
wife died in a car accident. His best friend River Phoenix died of an overdose.
His sister has leukemia.

He had everything to give up, and instead,
with everything that happened, Keanu Reeves never gave up hope for better days.

When he was filming the movie “The Lake
House”, he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants. One of
them cried because she would lose her home if she didn’t pay $20,000 and on the
same day Keanu deposited the necessary amount into the woman’s bank account. He
also donated massive amounts to hospitals. He shared the part of the Matrix
profits to the whole team.

In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a
bakery and bought a brioche with a single candle, ate in front of the bakery,
and offered coffee to people who stopped by to chat with him.

This man could buy everything, and instead,
every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought: To be a good
person.

What People
Say:

All over, I never heard but moving stories
about the fine human being Mr. Reeves is. Then again, he is also an
enthusiastic motorcyclist — that explains it then!!! Tongue-in-cheek comments
aside (I’m a third-generation motorcyclist myself) besides being a consummated
professional and an accomplished thespian, Mr. Reeves seems genuinely invested
in leaving this Earth a better place than what he found when he arrived. And
that says a lot about the man.

 Peter DeMund

It’s worth noting that a large portion of
these admiring comments is made by men; it isn’t gushing, girl-fandom, but
measured respect for a kind and open-hearted guy. In fact, it seems to have a
lot less to do with his movie work than his life outside of movies. It tells me
that men like him are not recognized enough and rarer than we all wish were the
case.

Paul Bowdery

After absorbing the many fascinating
discussions, I feel I know him so well we could spend all night talking and
laughing. I find his entire ethos utterly refreshing. And how he treats others
is truly humbling. I somehow think the other 99.9% of Hollywood would do well
to take a page from Keanu’s book. Today, I absolutely love this man. He’s
exactly the type of person we should all be proud to call a friend.

Fred Buettner Sr

I have looked up his name on Google. There is
one thing that truly saddened me. There are no accounts in any social Media
connected to him and I understand that there are always nut jobs that do stupid
things so U cannot really blame him. He is what all people with the means could
do if they only wished to. Yet, there are 4 accounts showing his photo with his
name. I do not understand why the Bots don’t check out famous names for
authenticity and ban the people using his name for life.

Welcome to Canada, people. There are millions
of us. We don’t necessarily have Keanu’s fortune, profile or leverage, but we
have his selfless, thoughtful and giving nature.

I have to agree…I live in a popular city on
the border of CA and USA for many, many years…I have found Canadians for the
most part polite and thoughtful. Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of
idiots like in the US, but you guys seem to have that subtle elegance of the
Brits which is lost on most Americans
