Celebrities all over the world have behaved peculiarly at the Red Carpet
show. Today we bring one of the celebrities who have done that- AMY SCHUMER.
The actress and comedian made news in April for falling flat on her face
in front of Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West on the red carpet, which has clarified
her unusual behavior.
Schumer recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show, where she discussed
what went through her mind when she saw the pair later that night.
The bizarre occurrence is captured in videos and images shot at the
event, in which Kim and Kanye pose flawlessly for the cameras before Schumer
dramatically falls down in front of them.
She described the experience to Norton — and his fellow guests Samuel L.
Jackson and Stephen Merchant because The Graham Norton Show is THE BEST — as
being at a party and chatting to someone when they notice someone much hotter
off in the distance. Instead of concentrating on her, the media diverted their
attention to Kimye.
She said: “I was invited to one of the Time 100 most influential people
even though no one here has heard of me!” I was on the red carpet doing
interviews and the journalists were looking past me to see if someone more
important was behind me. So all the reporters went crazy for Kim and Kanye and
I’ve always thought falling over was the funniest thing, so I took a dive in
front of them. I couldn’t help myself.”
When asked whether the photographers missed the moment when Kanye broke
a smile, Schumer respond: “He did not crack a smile at any point. There’s no
way that either of them had any idea who I am. So that was comforting.”
The humorous girl couldn’t resist stealing some of the spotlights from
the famed media-hoggers and feigned her slip and fall in front of the pair at
Lincoln Center in New York City. She slumped at their feet in a beautiful dark
blue gown, like red carpet roadkill as she lay ‘helpless’ on the floor.
