Physical abuse is one of the major reasons why marriages fail. It should be unacceptable under no circumstance because the moment it starts, it cannot be stopped. A couple that is doomed is one that does not hesitate to cause each other physical harm at any time.
10. PUBLIC HUMILIATION
If someone shames their partner in public without remorse, then it means they do not value that person. It could be something as trivial as laughing at them in public, or mentioning something embarrassing about them in public. Whatever it is, if it makes your partner red in the face, or visibly uncomfortable, then it is bad. It means that they do not value your emotions and they do not respect you.
11. EMOTIONAL INFIDELITY
It may not be as easy for them to cheat with someone else, but little signs that display disrespect for your emotions can be a sign of infidelity. One of the ways to tell that a couple is doomed is that they do things without caring what their partner might think about it. Their actions can include flings with other people or even a one night stand. All these points to the fact they have little or no regard for your feelings.
12. EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION
You do not have to manipulate your partner or spouse to get what you want. Any marriage where one person has to use emotional threats to get what they want is doomed to fail. The common threats they may use include
‘prove that you love me by….’
‘if you truly loved me, you would …..’
Anyone who does this is only trying to manipulate you into giving in to their demands.
13. BADMOUTHING
If you have something bad to say about your partner, it should remain between the two of you and not go public. If there is a marriage where couples talk bad about each other to the knowledge of everyone, then that marriage is doomed to fail. Everything you say about your partner should be good, even if they are not. Maintain the integrity of your partner at all times.

14. RESENTMENT
Holding back when you are wronged will not help you get issues resolved. If your partner wrongs you, you both are expected to find a common ground and resolve the issues.
