The Introverts

These people are unmistakable and easy to spot as well. They always keep to themselves and stay away from others. They always shut themselves away from their coworkers either by choosing to remain in their desk till the close of work or constantly wearing earphones.

How to deal with them

First of all, you need to know that these people are simply wired that way, and do not do what they do to impress anyone.

  1. Do not try to force them to open up to you, be cordial and friendly but not too pushy 
  2. Give them time to open up and relate with you on their own, and don’t take it personal if they don’t 
  3. Try to find out your shared interests and hobbies with them. It will help the relationship to become more natural and less awkward

The Drama Queen or King

These personalities capture all the attention whenever they are around, it can be in a positive way or in a negative way. Even when the spotlight is not on them, they do something that will redirect the attention back to them.

How to deal with them

  1. Do not try to struggle for attention with them, you will loose big time, and it will make you look the fool
  2. Remain calm and composed when the begin to exhibit their traits, and allow them to cool off before approaching them
  3. Talk to them in calm tones about the way their behavior affects you and everyone around them. Be careful not to sound too condescending or judgemental

These personalities are always worried about something bad that will happen at any and every time. They are constantly suspicious of everyone, and believe they have no allows in the workplace.

How to deal with them

  1. Be careful with your choice of words around them as they will easily misinterpret it as an attack from you
  2. Do not try to force them to understand your own perception of ideas or view of life. Give them space and time
  3. Before trying to make them see reason about something, provide them with some kind of proof

The Emotionless One

In plain terms, these people are psychopaths. They do things to others without any feeling of guilt or emotion. People like this will not hesitate to get you into trouble for what they have done and also take credit for what someone else does.

How to deal with them

  1. Explain to them in plain terms and if possible, show them that you ha e boundaries and principles you do not cross
  2. Communication with such people is nearly impossible, so maintain professional but polite cordial relationships with them
  3. Do not disclose sensitive information about yourself to them as it can leave you vulnerable for their exploitation.
