The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge flew Dublin Airport on a commercial Aer Lingus flight to Ireland for their three-day Ireland tour on Tuesday.

Greeted by a small group of dignitaries led by the Britain’s Ambassador to Ireland, Robin Barnett, the Duke of Cambridge wore a smart suit while the Duchess wrapped herself in a dark green

Catherine Walker coat, a printed dress by Alessandra Rich,a clutch bag from LK Bennett, Emmy London court shoes, a padded headband and diamond earrings from Asprey London.

The British royals had a tea meeting with the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins where they rang the Peace Bell at Áras an Uachtaráin. The couple held the gold rope together, pulling it three times before being given a clap. The bell was installed in the garden of the grand 18th-century house in 2008, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Good Friday agreement. Soon after this, they proceeded to lay a wreath at a commemorative ceremony at the Garden of Remembrance- a garden dedicated to those who gave their lives for Irish Independence.

Prince William and Kate Middleton also had an official meeting with the Taoiseach of Ireland, Leo Varadkar.

Their final event for the day was a reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Ireland at the Guinness Storehouse’s Gravity Bar, where they met a broad range of people from the creative arts, sport, business and charity sectors. Kate looked beautiful in a metallic green dress, while William looked dapper in a blue suit.
