Despite their resignation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly accepted an invitation to spend summer holiday at Balmoral with the Queen with Archie Harrison, her grandson.
The young royal who had been in Canada, will make his first trip home to the UK as he turns one in May as he joins his parents in June for Trooping the Colour, and to spend some time with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall-his grandparents.
Meghan had returned to Canada just after attending to a round of final royal engagements; the Endeavor Fund award, a visit to Denegham schools to mark international women’s day and the commonwealth day service at Westminster Abbey alongside the Queen, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Earl and Countess of Wessex while her husband, Harry stayed back for few days to attend to work before finally reuniting with his family.
The last time Archie was seen was during the last festive season when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a Christmas card to wish royal fans a merry Christmas. Archie was captured, crawling with his parents behind in smiles.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, agreed to a 12-month review of their resignation with the Queen as they set about in pursuit of their own business and charitable interest. However, this also means a year of non-royal engagements and royal funding.
Their resignation have led to the family’s relocation from UK to Canada and the shutting down of their Buckingham Palace office.
