Former big brother naija housemate Jeff has started an online campaign against the on going social media bill which is on its third hearing in the National Assembly for a second hearing.
Here’s what he captioned his post:
The social media bill is on its 3rd hearing in the National Assembly.
This bill fundamentally gives the Federal Government the right to control what we say on social media and also prosecute citizens who speak freely on any social media platform at the discretion of the government and its law enforcement agencies. This is made possible because of the ambiguity of the bill.
This bill if passed strips away the fundamental human right of freedom of speech from us.
Let’s start #theconversation of STOPPING THIS BILL FROM PASSING INTO LAW.
