To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice and her fiancé Edoardo Mappelli were spotted in a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to the UK – Liu Xiaoming over the weekend.

Liu took to Twitter to share a photograph of him and the family and wrote: “My wife and I invited the Duke of York and his family to our residence and celebrated Chinese New Year. Their enthusiasm for China and contribution to China-UK relations is highly appreciated.”

After the event, Mr Xiaoming said Prince Andrew delivered the sympathies of the Queen to the Chinese people over the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Tweeting, he said: ‘At the critical time of fighting #coronavirus, I express my sincere sympathy for Chinese people, and pray for the speedy control and victory over the virus.’

For this event, Princess Beatrice, wore a black shirt dress, paired with black tights, minimal jewellery and a gorgeous diamante and pearl-encrusted headband, from Zara.

Perhaps the Royal was inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge, who back in November, at the Festival of Remembrance event at the Royal Albert Hall, wore an elegant dark blue midi dress, and her hair in loose waves, pulled back with a padded rhinestone headband from Zara.

Princess Beatrice will walk down the aisle on May 29th, in a private ceremony at the 150-seat Chapel Royal at St James Palace, , where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert exchanged their vows in 1840, followed by a party in the private palace gardens, hosted by Queen Elizabeth. The Chapel Royal also has personal significance for Beatrice—located in St. James Palace, it’s just a short walk away from the apartments where she currently lives.
