Prince Edward and Sophie’s Swiss ski trip with children revealed

Prince Edward Earl of Wessex takes his family on a delightful holiday as the kids have a half-term this February.

With no royal engagements this week, the royals set out on a skiing trip with their two children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn to the exclusive Swiss ski resort of St Moritz for their family holiday.

Sophie wore a black padded ski jacket with white striped trousers, while Andrew was spotted in a red outerwear from Colmar. The royals also wore helmets and goggles as they made their way down the mountain.

Their children, Lady Louise and her brother James, were also on the mountain enjoying their time on the slopes, with Edward joining his son on a chair lift at one point. The family might continue to be in Switzerland for the remainder of the week before flying back to the UK in time for the kids to begin college on Monday.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex keep their children out of the spotlight, aside from formal family events such as Trooping the Colour, royal weddings and most recently a visit to the training grounds of England Hockey, at The National Sports Centre at Bisham Abbey-where Sophie took Louis along.

The family-of-four currently lives at Bagshot Park in Surrey. The Earl and Countess celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last year.

It is a well-earned break for Sophie and Edward, who have actually had an active beginning to the year in the wake of Megxit and Prince Andrew’s separation. The pair are believed to be in the going to take on even more duty in light of the recent resignations within the monarchy.
