Kate Middleton is known to be styled by top designers like Alexander McQueen which she stunned in at the last BAFTA Awards on Sunday. To add to her list is Alessandra Rich- founded in 2010 is a contemporary women’s brand that curates ready-to-wear pieces based in London.
Alessandra Rich admits to being inspired by royalty as she works through her collection release every fashion season.
While speaking to Tatler’s Bystander, Rich said; “I’m drawn to history’s polite rebels, such as Princess Diana, and I want to embody that spirit in the Alessandra Rich woman,”
Over the festive season, Kate appeared wearing the brand in a red polka dot midi-dress with leaf motis and a pussy bow tie collar to film A Berry Royal Christmas with Mary Berry in December.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a piece from the brand for a family photo shoot in November 2018 on Prince Charles birthday and again in May 2019 where she restyled the same dress to visit Bletchley Park.
Rich’s knows good and well the meaning of her ’80s-inflected frocks as the Polka dot dress has a statement white cuffs and collar with a nipped-in waist, resembling one worn by Princess Diana.
The polka dot dress was seen again in May 2018 at Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on Abigail Spencer- co-star, Suits.
Alessandra Rich is an Italian-born designer who is now based in London.
