Sophie The Countess of Wessex celebrated her 55th birthday today and showed up looking stunning for the Royal reception hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Buckingham Palace on behalf of the Queen.

Also in attendance was, her husband Prince Edward, sister-in-law Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince Harry and Kate Middleton.
Sophie opted for a £2,530 Alaïa jacquard-knit midi dress, with capped sleeves and a low-cut back. She accessorized with tan court heels, and long red necklace. The hemline on the A-line dress matches the sleeves. Her hair was styled in a half-tuck and paired with dewy makeup.
While her husband, Earl of Wessex, Prince Edwards stepped out in a dark suit, white shirt and ash colored tie.
The couple were in attendance with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Anne.
All royals featured in a group photograph with Heads of states, Government and their partners.
The Summit will demonstrate the strength of the relationship between the UK and Africa, showcase and promote the breadth and quality of investment opportunities across Africa. It will also highlight the UK’s commitment to supporting economic development in Africa, including through the creation of jobs and new partnerships.
