Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s school options for Archie in Canada

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have now settled into their private lives after Bukingham Palace released details of the agreement for the Sussexes, stating the terms of operations as they resign from being senior members of the Royal families. 


However, some things will take time to be fully deliberated on and over time more talks and terms will be made. 


The Couple have spent the last weeks in their Canadian Home in Vancouver island after Prince Charles returned from London after the crisis meeting hosted by the Queen, his grandmother in the details of their resignation. 


Royal fans are on the lookout for the Sussex as they settle into living normal lives as parents of their young son and just wonder which school the couple will choose to school Archie Harrison in the nearest future. 


Since the couple have decided to split their time between the UK and Canada it is safe to suggest that their options will cover these locations. The Queen, in her statement released afte the crisis meeting meeting offered Prince Harry and Meghan the Frogmore cottage as long as they pay up the sum spent on its renovation back to the Royal purse, making the decision to live in the UK an achievable one for them. 


Here’s a list of schools in the UK and Canada that the Sussex might probably school their son, Archie.


  1. Glenlyon Norfolk School, Victoria

Is a private/independent school that offers the International Baccalaureate programme to students and also teaches Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 using the Montessori method within the framework of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years programme, and there are specialist teachers for Physical Education, French, Mandarin, Music and Art. 


  1. Island Montessori School, Vancouver could be another option for the royals as the school uses teaching method that balances work and play and encourages children to develop at their own rate.

Knowing that Harry and Meghan are huge supporters off the ecosystem, this school which is located in rural West Saanich, is surrounded by forest and is close to a lake. It features a fenced play area and the website says it has plans to plant a vegetable garden and flowers. The school values itself on being eco-friendly and teaches children about conservation and caring for the planet. The school’s mission statement is: “To nurture every child’s love of learning, while fostering growing independence, confidence, and self-esteem.”

  1. The Rosedale Day School, Toronto

Located in Toronto, Meghan’s base whole filming US legal drama Suits. 

The school website says: “The Kindergarten Program at RDS is focused on developing independence, self-confidence, and curiosity about the world through a child-centred, inquiry-based approach. Teachers create learning experiences that are tailored to student interests and capabilities.” The school is renowned for its first-rate Physical Education programme and pupils use the facilities at the nearby University of Toronto. It is also close to a number of museums, concert halls and theatres.


  1. Upper Canada College, Toronto

Located in a sprawling campus in Toronto, is one of Canada’s oldest schools, where the Duke of Edinburgh acts as “Special Visitor” and is a member of the board of governors. The private school for boys is reportedly based on Eton College – where William and Harry boarded – and students follow the International Baccalaureate programme. It boasts top technology and sporting facilities, including two hockey arenas, six tennis courts and six soccer fields, as well as an indoor pool and a filmmaking club. All pupils are automatically enrolled in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme.
