The Sussex Royal Instagram account hits over 11 million followers. Since after the announcements to resign from being senior members of the Royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received a lot of attention and has recently gained more followers on instagram with 11,032,936 followers topping the follower rating on Kensington Royal account which currently has 11 million followers.
The Sussex Royal was launched in April 2019,
when Harry and Meghan disjointed from the Cambridges. The account showcased photos of their royal engagements and private meetings.
Also on their platform, the Sussex share works of the charities and causes they have partnered with focusing on one topic per month.
While The Kensington Palace Instagram account launched in 2015, was a joint platform to showcase the works of both the Cambridge and the Sussexes after their wedding in 2018.
However, in April 2019 the Sussex has their own account and the Cambridges have kept their posts non-exclusive and all the photos have been accredited to royal photographers. But in recent years, Prince William and Kate have been publishing their own pictures of their children on their birthdays (taken by the Duchess) on social media, while also releasing them to agencies.
Initially they were speculations that Meghan Markle was behind the Sussex Royal account as the Tv star was once a user of social media up until her marriage to Prince Harry where she closed down all her social media accounts and website.
