To mark the beginning of the new decade, Buckingham Palace releases a new portrait of the Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and Prince George, all heirs to the throne.
Photo was taken in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace, with the Queen, dresses in a white dress and a sapphire brooch, Prince Charles in a blue suit stands with his hand over Prince George who is wearing a white shirt, tartan trousers and shoes from Amaiakids. His father, Prince William stands behind the queen in a dark blue suit.
The first release of a portrait was in April 2016 in the event of the Queen’s 90th birthday, Prince George was 2 years old then and posed on a blue step standing beside his great-grandmother and holding his father’s hand.
Both photos of the four generational heirs to the throne was taken by Ranald Mackechnie. The second photo on Wednesday 18 December 2019 during the Queen’s Christmas lunch for her family.
Buckingham Palace released a series of adorable photos and a video of the Queen, Charles, William and George stirring the mixture to make the festive treat- which was recorded earlier before the Queen’s Christmas lunch begun, as part of a Royal British Legion project. The Together at Christmas initiative aims to provide extra support to the Armed Forces community at annual festive “get-togethers” across the charity’s network, both at home and abroad.

The royals placed commemorative sixpences into the mixture, ready to be found by those attending the gatherings next year.
With this, I think we are royally ready for the decade.
