Mike Tindall was asked about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex‘s decision to resign from royal duties and spend more time between the UK and Canada, while working to be financially independent, on Joe’s House of Rugby latest podcast.
While on the show, Co-host, Alex Payne mentioned that it wasn’t a bad time for Mike to be away from the UK since there was a “lot going on in The Firm”, Mike’s response was: “Let’s not talk about that, it’s a no-go area and i don’t know anything about it”.
He, Alex then, went on to ask James Haskell-a co-host of the show and friend of Prince Harry if he had heard from the Duke of Sussex before his departure from being senior members of the royal family and James replied; “Yes, I have,”
‘I’m A Celebrity’ star James who was at Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018 with his wife added: “I don’t know anything about it either, I don’t know anymore than you know… I think it must be very traumatic and difficult, I have sent my regards. That’s the extent of it.”
However, Harry, the Duke of Sussex is the Patron of the Rugby Football Union and had mentioned in his speech that; “The UK is my home and a place that I love. That will never change,” he said on the following day. “I have grown up feeling support from so many of you, and I watched as you welcomed Meghan with open arms as you saw me find the love and happiness that I had hoped for all my life. It has also been a privilege to meet so many of you, and to feel your excitement for our son Archie, who saw snow for the first time the other day and thought it was bloody brilliant,” he added. “I will always have the utmost respect for my grandmother, my commander in chief, and I am incredibly grateful to her and the rest of my family, for the support they have shown Meghan and I over the last few months.”
