This year they’ll be celebrations both private and public in the Royal family. The most important would be the three-day celebration across the UK to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day to mark the end in Europe of the Second World War.
The Queen, will relive fond memories of what she calls “one of the most memorable nights of my life”, when she and her sister Princess Margaret left Buckingham Palace and celebrated with the crowds after the end of hostilities was declared on 8 May 1945.
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will mark their 15th wedding anniversary in April, the Princess Royal turns 70 in August, with the Queen honouring her daughter’s tireless service to the crown,the Duke of York’s 60th birthday next month which will likely be low key following the Jeff Epstein’s allegation but will be expected to carry out an important role this year as father of the bride when his elder daughter Princess Beatrice marries businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

1. The first would be The Duchess of Cambridge’s birthday, Kate Middleton who turns 38 on January 9th. It’ll be a big year for her and her family, including her brother James Middleton’s wedding to Alizée Thévenet.

2. Princess Sophie, The Countess of Wessex’s birthday will hold on the 20th of January. She turns 55. The birthday celebration will be with her husband the Earl and their children Lady Louise Windsor, 16, and Viscount Severn, 12.

3. Prince Williams, the Duke of Cambridge will attend the Bafta Film Awards on February 2nd as President of Bafta.
Hopefully the Duchess of Cambridge will grace the occasion to support the Duke.

4. The Queen-birthday
HRH The Queen will mark 68 years as monarch and 94 years birthday on April 21. She usually prefers a quiet day but salutes from traditional artillery will be heard.
5. Louis-birthday
Prince Louis turns two on 23rd April two days after his great-grandmother’s birthday.
6. Charlotte
Princess Charlotte’s birthday celebration will follow after her brother’s on 2 May where she turns 5.
7. Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s– 6 May
… while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son turns one the following week.

Prince Harry will attend Invictus Games – 9-16 May. It’ll take place in The Hague, Netherlands. It’ll be special for both the Duke and Duches as their relationship was brought public at the Toronto games in 2017.

This year’s must-see will be the Cartier Queen’s Cup Tournament at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park, which takes place from 19 May to 14 June.

Euro 2020 – 12 June – 12 July
President of the Football Association,Duke of Cambridge will have a visible role at the European Championships, especially as the final will take place at Wembley Stadium in London.
13. Trooping
Trooping the Colour – 13 June
The Queen’s annual birthday parade. A colourful display of military pageantry, the parade features more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians, and is followed by an RAF flypast that the family traditionally gathers to watch from the Buckingham Palace balcony.

Royal Ascot – 16-20 June
Another wonderful opportunity to see the royal family out and about in all their finery, Ascot’s greatest moment is undoubtedly Ladies’ Day, which this year takes place on 18 June.
15. Queen-commonwealth
Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2020 – 22-27 June which will grace Prince Charles as head of Commonwealth at Kigali, Rwanda. He is likely to be joined by other members of the royal family for the six-day gathering of Commonwealth leaders.
16. kate-Meghan-Pippa-Wimbledon
The Championships, Wimbledon – 29 June-12 July. As a long-time tennis fan and patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, Kate is a regular spectator in the royal box.
17. George-birthday
Prince George’s birthday – 22 July as he celebrates his seventh birthday.
18. Zara-Olympics
Tokyo 2020: Olympic Games and Paralympic Games – July-September
As an Olympian and president of the British Olympic Association, Princess Anne is likely to attend this year’s Games, which take place 24 July-9 August.
